UNESCO World Heritage Site:

Chartres Cathedral

If you’ve taken Art History, you’ve probably studied this building, especially the porticos.  The stained glass is also breath-taking.  It houses an important relic, The Sancta Camisa, a shirt/tunic purportedly worn by the virgin Mary.  It was presented to the Cathedral by Charlemagne’s grandson Charles the Bald (who probably wasn’t really bald).  It had been given to Charlemagne by Irene of Athens, Empress of Byzantium.
